Hallmark certification

protect consumer against victimisation due to irregular gold quality, Provide third party assurance and satisfaction that customer gets right purity of gold for the given price (value for money).
Gold jewellery & other precious metals like silver and platinum
It is a voluntary scheme being operated by BIS under the BIS Act 1986. As per this scheme the licence is granted to a jeweller for certification of purity of gold jewellery in accordance with IS 1417.

FPO Certification

Required before setting food and fruit processing units.
Synthetic beverages syrups and sharebats, Vinegar whether brewed or synthetic, Pickles, Dehydrated Fruits and Vegetables, Squashes crushes, Cordials, Barley water baralled juice and ready to serve beverages fruit sector, or any other beverages containing fruit juices or fruit pulp, Jams, Jelleys and marmalades, Tomato products, ketchup and sauces, Preserves candid and crystallised fruit and peels, Chatnies, Cancel and bottled fruits juices and pulp, Canned and bottled Vegetables, Frozen fruits and vegetables Sweetened arreated waters with or without fruit juices or fruit pulp, Fruit cereal flakes, any other unspecified item relating to fruits or vegetables etc

CE Mark ("Communauté Européenne")

By affixing the CE marking to a product, the manufacturer – on his sole responsibility – declares that it meets EU safety and health and environmental requirements.
Medical devices, explosives for civil use, machinery, toys, hot-water boilers, lifts, pressure equipment, measuring equipment, noise emission in environment, radio & telecommunication terminal equipment, simple pressure vessels, personal protective equipment.
Is a mandatory conformance mark on many products placed on the single market in the European Economic Area (EEA).

British Standards Institution (BSI)
Principal activity is the production of standards and the supply of standards-related services.

BIS – Bureau of Indian Standards (formerly ISI)


Consideration of health and safety are milk powder, packaged drinking water, LPG cylinders, oil pressure stoves, clinical thermometers etc. Used for upgrading the quality of their goods and services.

Is the national standards body of India working under the aegis of Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, Govt. of India. All foreign manufacturers of products who intend to export to India are required to obtain a BIS product certification license.

AGMARK (Agricultural Marketing)

Third Party Guarantee to Quality Certified. This certification also marks the food standard keeping in mind the requirements of WTO. This certification benefits all including the producer and the consumer. The sellers can sell their products easily and obviously its a satisfaction mark for buyers.
Agricultural Produce(Grading and Marking ) – Fibre crops, edible nuts, livestock, spices, agriculture & allied products like tobacco, sugarcane, honey etc
Agmark is a quality certification mark provided by the Government of India. This certification confirms that the product or commodity in better term is scientifically laid down. It confirms the quality control and the best hygienic condition of the food.

Handloom Mark

provide a collective identity to the handloom products and can be used not only for popularising the hand woven products but can also serve as a guarantee for the buyer that the product being purchased is genuinely hand woven.
Handloom fabrics and products
The mark is in two forms. One for Domestic use: the word Handloom is written beneath the logo and the other for International marketing: same logo with the word Hand woven in India written beneath it.

Cotton Mark

Absorblend trademark – used for products containing 60% plant cotton. Enhanced Trademark – used for products containing min 15% plant cotton.
For fabrics and products that contain 100% plant cotton.

Silk Mark

Silk Mark is a quality assurance label which is aimed at protection of the interests of the consumers, Traders and Manufacturers of pure Silk.
Silk Mark ensures 100% natural silk in all products under a Label. This means a Silk Mark product contains only pure silk in its base fabric allowing ornamental Zari thread work as extra warp and weft at loom stage or after loom.

Silk Mark Organisation of India is a Society which has brought out Silk Mark - a quality assurance label for Silk. It is a Society backed by Central Silk Board, an Apex body for development of silk and silk industry in India.

Woolmark

The Woolmark specifies that a product contains pure new wool. The Woolmark logo is recognised throughout the world as a symbol of quality and reliability.
Pure and blended wool articles
The products must meet Woolmark or Woolmark Blend specifications. Before a manufacturer can apply the Woolmark label to his products, stringent testing for quality and performance must meet the high standards set by The Woolmark Company. Continuing random testing ensures that quality is maintained.
